Individual English teaching and communication coaching

Your expertise should not shrink in translation.

You already have the experience, or are preparing to study at a higher level. The work is to develop greater accuracy, fluency and confidence to work in English with authority, on the page and in the room.

English for professionals

Professional communication · Specialised terminology · Core Competency · Disciplinary context

I work with experienced and early-career professionals who want to communicate complex knowledge clearly and precisely in English. The work is grounded in your own field, responsibilities and audience, combining direct language teaching with close attention to reasoning, structure and meaning.

For healthcare professionals and clinical researchers, I provide highly specialised Medical English teaching informed by my knowledge and experience of the field.

In High-Tech, Dev & AI Architecture, the work is to bridge the gap between technical knowledge and high-register communication — developing competency to confidently explain software blueprints, structure clean repository documentation and navigate ML/CS papers, and achieve meaningful collaboration with product managers, designers, other engineers during team meetings, code reviews, and project planning.

Which means explaining complex specialist work in English.

Interviews · Presentations · Consultations · Professional writing

Postgraduate admissions and academic work

IELTS · TOEFL iBT · OET · Cambridge C1 Advanced · Cambridge C2 Proficiency

I work with applicants preparing for examinations and postgraduate selection, and with students already undertaking postgraduate study in English. The work includes academic writing and argument, papers, presentations and research communication.

GMAT · GRE · GAMSAT · Executive Assessment

Preparation focuses on the language and reasoning these examinations require: understanding complex questions, analysing arguments and evidence, identifying assumptions, and explaining clearly why a conclusion follows or fails. For GRE candidates, this also includes analytical writing and the precise expression of a sustained argument in English.

Which means thinking in English, not only speaking it.

Applications · Selection interviews · Motivation letters, statements & essays · Academic papers & argument · Presentations · Research

Communication reasoning, structure, and meaning

Using English regularly and communicating effectively in a demanding interview, presentation, examination or academic discussion are not always the same thing.

My teaching strategy, grounded in my professional experience, combines formal English lessons and communication coaching. Your objectives and personal learning style are the deciding factors in choosing the right instruction method for you. I use direct language instruction to focus on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. At the same time, integrating communication, reasoning, structure and meaning to turn raw information into purposeful, comprehensible human interaction.

Specialist content remains central. Lessons are built around the real task. Academic argument is taught, not merely proofread, and specialist content is not reduced to generic classroom material.

Sessions are conducted in English. Ukrainian and Russian are available for clarification when useful.
